My sister thinks your new boyfriend looks fifty She put it better than I ever could She thinks the game you play is rather nifty I guess you call yourself misunderstood Doo-doo doo-doo doo-doo Doo-doo doo And if you wanna go home, you can stay home this time In your run-down beach house And I hope you sleep out And never reach out We were stuck on a runaway trolley And it was either gonna kill one of us or five others So you pulled the brakes down Man, I hope you stay down Cyanide can help you raise a devil It plucks the unibrow from off your face And you could never really get up to my level You couldn't even join the human race Doo-doo doo-doo doo-doo Doo-doo doo And if you wanna go home, you can stay home this time In your run-down beach house And I hope you sleep out And never reach out We were stuck on a runaway trolley And it was either gonna kill one of us or five others So you pulled the brakes down Man, I hope you stay down When the mark on the ministry man is faded And the cab for the criminal's armour-plated When you ask for a mineral and get sedated It's cessated Ohhh... And if you wanna go home, you can stay home this time And if you wanna go home, you can stay home this time

about

Runaway Trolley is about looking back on a falling-out, realising it was for the best and that the other person had every right to go, but still letting yourself feel the necessary amount of bitterness to process the grief.

Sometimes shit sucks. So what better way to let off some steam than with a mix of mid-70s Jersey Coast heartland rock; Athens, Georgia power pop; Newport, Wales post-grunge; everything in between, and some things without.

Heavily featuring the sensational guitar pyrotechnics of Quinton Aguilera, and nimble basslines courtesy of Shiv Bhargava, the song is also an introduction of Gauss Gun's most recent additions to the world. The two have been playing with Will since their days in Too This for That at St Andrews, and it is an absolute pleasure to have them join the project him and Josh have carried with them since school.
